Tashkent City gets the go-ahead

The City of London, Moscow City, and now Tashkent City. The Uzbek capital’s plans for a brand new international financial and business centre have been officially signed-off.

Broad, tree-lined avenues and leafy parks surrounding tall, reflective skyscrapers – this is the vision for Tashkent City, a new financial and business hub for Uzbekistan. The development will cover nearly a square kilometre right in the heart of the city centre, bringing foreign investment, businesses, and retailers to the ancient Silk Road city.

Said to be an embodiment of the harmony between nature and the city, the space will incorporate a combination of greenery, urban facilities, water features, and parks.

The development will house luxury apartments, five-star hotels, a business centre, and retail and leisure facilities turning Tashkent into an international metropolis and a financial hub for the entire Central Asian region.
